What is Rinkya?
Rinkya helps you bid on Yahoo Japan Auctions. You can bid from any country, on any item, REAL-TIME with your own Rinkya account.

It's that easy!
Signing Up for an Account
(A credit card is required to sign up for a Rinkya account.)
Step One:
Sign up here!
Step Two:
You will receive an e-mail with instructions on creating an account, fill in your info and choose a user name and password.
In this e-mail will also be a link to place your credit card down with a deposit.
Step Three:
Fill out the deposit form with your credit card number & deposit amount. Press submit & in 24 hours you will receive an e-mail and you are ready to start bidding, real time, on Yahoo Japan auctions with your own Rinkya account!
Deposits
You may bid 5 times the amount of your deposit. (A deposit of $100
would be $500 bidding power).
To add to an existing deposit, please go to the Add
Deposit form. Please allow at least 48 hours for adding deposits.
We do not charge deposits. Your card is authorized for the amount only. Therefore, we do not hold any of your money.
 Bidding
Once your account has been activated, you may bid two ways.
- Use the Rinkya Search Engine to search Yahoo Japan under the Rinkya program, MyRinkya. Please click the CLICK HERE TO BID ON THIS ITEM link and the item you would like to bid on will be automatically inserted into the bidding form.
- You may also copy the url of any auction you would like to bid on,log-in to your Rinkya account, click Place Bid and paste the url in the bidding form.
Payment
When you win an auction, you will receive an e-mail notice within 24 hours that gives you your total and directs you to the payment page. Please see the Fee Page for a list of fees Rinkya charges for its
services.
Types of Payment Accepted: - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Paypal, Postepay.
You must pay for your auction within 48 hours or you will be charged
a $10 late fee for each auction.
There are NO payment plans.
Sale prices will not be applied to late payments. Anyone making a late payment will be charged the non-sale fee.
Non-payment will result in an automatic charge of your card & a $20 late fee.
Payments can take up to 48 hours to update in your account, please do not e-mail us concerning a payment update until this 48 hours has passed.
Request Shipping
When your items arrive at the Rinkya Warehouse, please request shipping.
You must request shipping or your items will not be sent. Please visit our shipping page for more detailed info on shipping.
Rinkya will charge your card on file automatically, and send you a bill for this s+h fee AFTER your item has been shipped.
This fee is NOT included with the initial auction fees you pay. See Fees for more info.
Your shipping charge is the actual Japanese Postal charge at the current yen rate on our site plus a 25% handling fee. Please see our shipping page for rates.
Please request your items that have arrived in Japan to be shipped to your home country by using this form.
We ship heavy, large or fragile items as soon as possible, request or not, because we cannot combine them with other items.

Contacting a Seller
Rinkya does contact your seller if you have a valid question. Please see our Contact Seller form.
We do not ask the seller the following, all these requests will be ignored:
a) Translation questions.
b) Buy out deals.
c) Deals.
d) If they have more than 1 item or a similar item.
e) If they will remove parts, add parts.
Cancelling Auctions
Rinkya does not and cannot cancel auctions under any circumstances. Yahoo Japan does not allow retraction of bids.
If you choose to cancel an auction, you will be charged the following:
1) A $20 cancellation fee.
2) Any fees the seller may ask us to pay. (3% Yahoo Japan fee for winning bids, etc).
3) A $100 fee if your cancellation results in Rinkya receiving a negative feedback.
Your Rinkya account will be automatically terminated if you try to contact a seller on your own regarding an item you are bidding on with Rinkya.
Please note that you are contacting them under our name and this confuses sellers and jeopardizes our relationship with them.
Refund Policy
Rinkya does not offer refunds under the following circumstances:
- Your seller does not send your item even though Rinkya has paid.
If you qualify for our Rinkya Buyer Protection Program, you may be eligible to receive some compensation.
If you do not qualify, store policy is that Rinkya refunds the commission fees only and gives you
free commission if you find the item to bid on again. If there is enough evidence, we give all information to the police within 1 month of your incident. We do not follow-up unless the police contact us.
You may only be allowed to receive compensation from either the Rinkya Buyer Protection Program or our store policy compensation.
- Your seller sends us a damaged item.
Please read your auctions carefully. Any damage is listed in the auction.
- You received something you do not want.
Rinkya is not responsible if you cannot understand the Japanese. Please use the translator links we have provided or your Japanese friend. We are not affiliated with any translators on this site and do
not support them.

- You bid on an item outside of Japan.
You are 100% responsible for bidding on items listed by sellers outside of Japan. We recommend you do not bid on these auctions as they often have missing items, incorrect items, items not being sent, as well as hefty shipping charges. We will not research, nor follow-up on these types of auctions.
Insurance Claims for damaged, stolen or lost items sent to your home country.

Buyer's Beware
Just like any American auction site, you have to be aware of what you are purchasing and the seller you are dealing with.
Sellers with low feedback or negative feedback
Please exercise caution when bidding on sellers with low or lots of negative feedback. Please see Rinkya's Refund Policy above.
If you click on the number next to a seller's ID you can view their feedback. (#61 in this example)
If a seller has a lot of negative feedback, please exercise caution.
(This seller has 1 negative feedback).
Scams
There are many auctions for scams that do not sell an actual item, but sell information on how to get an item. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. You must be responsible for understanding the Japanese description on the auction you are bidding on. Please see Rinkya's Refund Policy.
Advertising Auctions
Some sellers are looking for items and post their want lists as auctions, asking no one to bid on the auction. If you bid on an auction like this, the seller may ask us to pay the listing fee as well as the 3% fee. This will be passed on to you, plus a $20 handling fee.
If this results in Rinkya getting a negative feedback, we will charge you a $100 penalty fee. Please be very cautious and do not bid on these auctions.
Sellers who bid up the price on your auction
Like anywhere else in the world, there are unscrupulous sellers on Japan Auctions. Please exercise caution and bid responsibly on Japan Auctions. Rinkya is not responsible if you fall victim to these types of sellers. Please do not make a claim. The best way to avoid this is by avoiding sellers with low or negative feedback.
What Can't I Bid on?
- Child pornography.
- Guns
- Air spray, aerosol cans
- Food, drinks, alcohol
- Plants, agriculture
- Auctions that require you to send in your item
- Questionably legal merchandise
- Nazi, SS. Memorabilia
- Chemicals
- Items requiring special processing by customs
- Entire cars or bikes
- Over-sized items (Please read our car parts section).
If in doubt on whether or not you can bid, please use this form.
If you bid and win any of these items, we will cancel your auction ($20 penalty fee), which may result in a negative feedback ($100 penalty fee). Your account may also be terminated.
Disclaimer
Please note: These rules are subject to change, at which time you may NOT be notified and must read this page as well as the terms of service for the most recent version.
- We have the right to cancel your account at any time if we have reason to believe you have abused any of the rules, and/or terms of service.
- By signing up for an account on Rinkya you accept and agree to these terms and those stated in the terms of service.
- In the event of a natural disaster, robbery or circumstance beyond our control, your items being held at Rinkya's properties are NOT covered or insured.
- Your items will be confiscated in lieu of storage payment, without refund, under the following conditions:
You do not respond to our emails asking you to request shipping
You go past the 2 month storage limit without communicating with us, via email.
You order items that are too large or items that are forbidden to be bid on.
